Summary

My name is Manwika Wonglohathong, 35 years old. I graduated from Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand with a bachelor’s degree of Telecommunication Engineering.

I am a flexible and enthusiastic person for learning new things and always interesting to improve my current performance, also technical skills. Therefore, I could prove that I would do my best to be a new challenge position by using my work experience with the ex-company since 2008 i.e. Westinghouse, Invensys Rail, Siemens, Bombardier transportation and Thales to describe why I suitable for applying on this role below this section.

Technical Project Manager for Generic Application Onboard System

The responsibilities is to deliver the new ATP Onboard System R2 (ERTMS/ETCS Level 1, Level 0 and STM) to customer project. This upgrade of ATP Onboard System in Korea due to the Hardware obsolescence issue that is to implement on all retrofit trains in Korea. In this role, my major tasks are following:

  • Adjusted project plans to account for dynamic targets, staffing changes and operational specifications.
  • Developed project plans and managed project scope using methodologies to guide projects from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance.
  • Outlined work plans, determined resources, wrote timelines and generated initial budgets as part of project scope determination.
  • Coordinated with Specific Application team (Seowoo in Korea), PM and Procurement team in order to follow up the status of the material/hardware.
  • Supporting and guidance the new tester for how to execute all selected test cases for the System test and field test.
  • Supported as field tester (Test Lead) to perform field test in Korea with the intended train types.
  • Coordinate with the ISV and ISA and responsible for replying LOVPs and LOPs for Validation and Safety assessment process based on EN standard as basis.
  • Delivering the upgraded ATP OB System to the customer with the safety approval for the commercial operation.

This upgrade of ATP Onboard System in Taiwan is for installing on the new train type, EMU900. In this role, I have to coordinate/communicate with Specific Application team, PE, PM and MiTAC company (supplier) who produce the MMI & RU SW. My major tasks are following detail.

  • Served as technical liaison, supporting engineering, management, procurement, sales and marketing, quality assurance and supply base.
  • Producing, tracking the GA project plan and responsible for all LOVP, LOP, LAP during the validation and assessment period.
  • Accomplished client goals by providing quality technical projects.
  • Supported all technical questions that raised by Specific Application team and the customers.
  • Performed test as Lead Tester for both System test and filed test (including trial operation running).
  • Closely collaborated with project members to identify and quickly address problems.
  • Communicated project plans and progress to key stakeholders and project contributors.
  • Followed up the product schedule with procurement team i.e. the schedule of new updated MMI software and hardware from the supplier. I also provided them the technical guideline for the interface between MMI SW and ATP SW.
  • Collaborated with business users, technical teams, database administrators and testing teams during kickoff meetings, joint application designing and planning sessions to validate requirements.

  • Performed dynamic test (Test Lead) for testing software in order to get an evidence of safety concern provide to safety analysis team during the safety assessment process.
  • Supervised and supported ETCS SW installation, roll out software for the whole fleet (SW Installation Leader).
  • Supported Technical Expert in Austria for Identifying issues of ETCS Onboard System that equipped on the train, analyzed information and provided solutions to problems and coordinate with the client and end customer.
  • Supervised and provided and training the driver to increase more understanding of ERTMS/ETCS Level 1 system. Also guidance them how to react if found any emergency case which related to ETCS Onboard equipment on the train (during the train is in operation with passenger and without).
  • Served customers and followed outlined steps of service after Red Line project Soft opening during July until November 2021
  • Provided and training the end customer for how to do the maintenance of the ETCS Onboard equipment i.e. BTM, Balise, LEU, ATP/EVC, JRU after service operation.
  • Actively listened to customers' requests, confirming full understanding before addressing concerns and distributing the information to all Core Team members for Weekly meeting.

  • Created the test specification that aims to use with DMI Generic Product ERTMS Baseline 2 & Baseline 3.
  • Performed sub-system test in order to re-produce an error that reported from customer project or site, this is to provide developers as an essential input before start to implement the software.
  • Evaluated items of NCRs to assign grades and marked quality level, rejection status or acceptance for each NCR as verifier role.

SGEDT, Seremban-Gemas Electrified double track project, Malaysia (2010-2014)

  • Supported TIC (Tester in Charge) as local tester during commissioning test, correspondence test & functional test and FAT testing.
  • Installed & upgraded Interlocking Data & CBI on site. This is including the equipment for Line Side Cabinet and Equipment Box at Seremban SER ROOM and Sungai Gadut SER Room, Malaysia.
  • Responsible for creating Local Control Panel and Maintenance Control Panel and installed the updated configuration files in every station.
  • Updated and perform tested with network system architecture.
  • Responsible for creating prototype drawing/template of Line Site Cabinet to install in every station following Signalling Scheme Plans. Also reviewed the design i.e cable core plan, signaling scheme plan, bonding plan before delivered to client.
  • Provided the training & customer guidance for the client/customer (station master and other operators) for how to use Local Control Panel & Maintenance Control Panel.
  • Demonstration and provided example functionality of WESTRACE interlocking that connected to Simulator (GSIM) and how to use the configuration in order to perform principle testing effectively.
  • Training and guideline maintenance team how to collect all log files and use play back options with Maintenance Local Panel.
  • Responsible for Control Table & Principles testing for Sungai Gadut, Rembau, Tampin, Batang Melaka and Gemas station that was performed with Client & customer’s consults at site office, Malaysia.
  • Supported project as the Assistant Principles Testing for Gemas station. Also produce the recorded & test log errors to interlocking designer team. The principle testing are based on schedule and planning from site requested.
  • Assistant Tester for Functional Test (Pre-test and installation on site) at Gemas & Depot Yard Station, Malaysia.

  • Created CAD drawings using AutoCAD to convey manufacturing and production configurations.
  • Responsible for delivering the new design of GCP4000 which upgraded based on GCP3000 circuits as following details below:

i. WestNet Rail Level Crossing Project (Perth, Australia), 10 Stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing new design and upgraded

ii. Northern Territory Level Crossing Project (Darwin, Australia), 5 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded.

iii. GWA Level Crossing Project (Australia), 8 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded

iv. Alice Spring Level Crossing Project (Australia), 3 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded.

  • Programmable logic data to install in GCP4000 and produced as-built designed following test results from function test and site testing & commissioning.
