Technical Project Manager for Generic Application Onboard System

The responsibilities is to deliver the new ATP Onboard System R2 (ERTMS/ETCS Level 1, Level 0 and STM) to customer project. This upgrade of ATP Onboard System in Korea due to the Hardware obsolescence issue that is to implement on all retrofit trains in Korea. In this role, my major tasks are following:

• Adjusted project plans to account for dynamic targets, staffing changes and operational specifications.
• Developed project plans and managed project scope using methodologies to guide projects from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance.
• Outlined work plans, determined resources, wrote timelines and generated initial budgets as part of project scope determination.
• Coordinated with Specific Application team (Seowoo in Korea), PM and Procurement team in order to follow up the status of the material/hardware.
• Supporting and guidance the new tester for how to execute all selected test cases for the System test and field test.
• Supported as field tester (Test Lead) to perform field test in Korea with the intended train types.
• Coordinate with the ISV and ISA and responsible for replying LOVPs and LOPs for Validation and Safety assessment process based on EN standard as basis.
• Delivering the upgraded ATP OB System to the customer with the safety approval for the commercial operation.

GA OB System, China High Speed train on mainline, CRH2 and CRH3, China (Mainline, ETCS Level 2 and STM)

The responsibilities is to deliver the new ATP Onboard System R1 (ERTMS/ETCS Level 1) to customer project. This upgrade of ATP Onboard System in Taiwan is for installing on the new train type, EMU900. In this role, I have to coordinate/communicate with Specific Application team, PE, PM and MiTAC company (supplier) who produce the MMI & RU SW. My major tasks are following detail.

• Served as technical liaison, supporting engineering, management, procurement, sales and marketing, quality assurance and supply base.
• Producing, tracking the GA project plan and responsible for all LOVP, LOP, LAP during the validation and assessment period.
• Accomplished client goals by providing quality technical projects.
• Supported all technical questions that raised by Specific Application team and the customers.
• Performed test as Lead Tester for both System test and filed test (including trial operation running).
• Closely collaborated with project members to identify and quickly address problems.
• Communicated project plans and progress to key stakeholders and project contributors.
• Followed up the product schedule with procurement team i.e. the schedule of new updated MMI software and hardware from the supplier. I also provided them the technical guideline for the interface between MMI SW and ATP SW.
• Collaborated with business users, technical teams, database administrators and testing teams during kickoff meetings, joint application designing and planning sessions to validate requirements.
• Delivering the upgraded ATP OB System to the customer with the safety approval for the commercial operation.

SRT Double Track Line 8 (ST8) project (ERTMS/ETCS level 1)

• To keep project on schedule and within budget while serving as project leader.
• Provided technical guidance, peer review and mentorship to junior
  engineers engaged in building system designs.
• Evaluated project requirements to identify and mitigate risks
• Interacting with senior management for reporting
• Verified construction documentation to meet client requirements and vision.
• Working closely with Project Manager and commercial team to serve the customer more satisfaction of our product delivery & production package e.g., FAI/FAT Test Procedure, Material Specification, Demonstration Report, ATS, Driver Simulator, Wayside Simulator, Wayside Interlocking etc.
• Guiding the talent identification and development processes for specific function which agreed to implement as per customer requirements.
• Involving for technical discussion with supplier and procurement team to identify correct specification following the customer contracts.

KLIA APM project (CBTC CF650 Signalling system)

• To create full-scope cost estimates for bid builds and design-build projects.
• Checking the design compliance with product specifications and
  standards requirements.
• Control and manage the delivery according to the project milestone or Key Date.
• To propose design concepts, worked with customers to incorporate changes and oversaw design process.
• Manage and control project on schedule and within budget while serving as project leader.
• Involving for technical discussion with supplier and procurement team to identify correct specification following the customer contacts.

Thailand Red Line project (ERTMS/ETCS level 1)

• Performed dynamic test (Test Lead) for testing software in order to get an evidence of safety concern provide to safety analysis team during the safety assessment process.
• Supervised and supported ETCS SW installation, roll out software for the whole fleet (SW Installation Leader).
• Supported Technical Expert in Austria for Identifying issues of ETCS Onboard System that equipped on the train, analyzed information and provided solutions to problems and coordinate with the client and end customer.
• Supervised and provided and training the driver to increase more understanding of ERTMS/ETCS Level 1 system. Also guidance them how to react if found any emergency case which related to ETCS Onboard equipment on the train (during the train is in operation with passenger and without).
• Served customers and followed outlined steps of service after Red Line project Soft opening during July until November 2021
• Provided and training the end customer for how to do the maintenance of the ETCS Onboard equipment i.e. BTM, Balise, LEU, ATP/EVC, JRU after service operation.
• Actively listened to customers' requests, confirming full understanding before addressing concerns and distributing the information to all Core Team members for Weekly meeting.

ETCS Track side system Level 1 Thailand (ST1 – ST4)

• Prepared the test plan for verifying ETCS Track side system Level 1.
• Supported the dynamic test and revised the test protocol (test procedure) for customer approval.

9 New ETS EMU, Malaysia Project (Mainline, ETCS Level 1 and STM)

The responsibility is to cover all delivering of Generic Application for ATP OB System. The scope of work is to provide all documentations in GA level to Specific Application team and following detail.

• Communicated project plans and progress to key stakeholders and project contributors.
• Produced, tracking and following the work progress within GA team member and reported to the Core Team member.
• Performed system test and field test for ATP functional with the customer (Lead test).
• Supported to analysis/identify the issue which happen during the test period.
• Supported PE and PM for replying the detail into LOVP, LOP during the validation and assessment process.
• Delivering the GA PVI and all necessary test report to Specific Application Team, PE, PM and the client/customer.

Project Engineer for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT Line 1 and Line 2, CBTC), Malaysia (during year 2018)

Responsible in role of Project Engineer (continue from the existing PE). This is to cover the delivery System PVI, Coordinate/Communicate with ITC team at site, Co-ordinate with sub-systems that are supporting the project, Follow up the progress of software improvement from each sub-system. My major task are following detail.

• Determined and scheduled priorities as required to progress engineering work.
• Reduced and resolved the issues of the project and providing the plan to PM/PD for the software release according to the project milestone and customer requirements.
• Working across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
• Supported the ISV and ISA by providing detail into LOVPs & LOPs during the validation and assessment period for each System PVI delivery.
• Coordinated with every sub-system who involved in the project during DLP period to analyze and identify the root cause of each issue which received daily report from the operator.
• Delivering the upgraded CBTC System to the customer for commercial operation.

Project: Korail ATP CU SW upgrade project and Korail ATP Onboard System Project, ETCS/ERTMS Level 1, South Korea

• Coordinated with Software developer and Requirement Engineer to finalize designs and confirm requirements.
• Integrated all SW and HW for Korail ATP Onboard Project for performing system test before started field test activities on site in South Korea.
• Support Field test (ATP Functional test) on intended train types and produced all necessary test report for supplying to ISV and ISA.

Project: Malaysia 10ETS project (Release SW version 2.0 & 3.0), ERTMS/ETCS system (Level 0, Level 1 and STM)

• Coordinated with Specific Application team for creating the test plan before performing field test at site.
• Support Field test as Lead tester for testing ATP Functional with the client/customer.

Product: DMI Linux and DMI DOS operation (for ERTMS/ETCS system)

• Coordinated with systems partners to finalize designs and confirm requirements.
• Responsible for reviewing the STM Test Specification and Sub-system test specification before deliver to customer project.
• Created the test specification that aims to use with DMI Generic Product ERTMS Baseline 2 & Baseline 3.
• Performed sub-system test in order to re-produce an error that reported from customer project or site, this is to provide developers as an essential input before start to implement the software.
• Evaluated items of NCRs to assign grades and marked quality level, rejection status or acceptance for each NCR as verifier role.
• Reviewed the requirement specification that produced by Sweden engineers and provided them with the feedback.

Hong Kong Project, 1166- MCS-MOL Project (3-6 months period during 2014)

• Checked in with the team members about existing systems of the design and preferences to optimize updates and achieve success.
• Responsible for producing CAD drawing (AutoCAD) in order to upgrade the design according to customer’s comments.

SGEDT, Seremban-Gemas Electrified double track project, Malaysia (2010-2014)

• Supported TIC (Tester in Charge) as local tester during commissioning test, correspondence test & functional test and FAT testing.
• Installed & upgraded Interlocking Data & CBI on site. This is including the equipment for Line Side Cabinet and Equipment Box at Seremban SER ROOM and Sungai Gadut SER Room, Malaysia.
• Responsible for creating Local Control Panel and Maintenance Control Panel and installed the updated configuration files in every station.
• Updated and perform tested with network system architecture.
• Responsible for creating prototype drawing/template of Line Site Cabinet to install in every station following Signalling Scheme Plans. Also reviewed the design i.e cable core plan, signaling scheme plan, bonding plan before delivered to client.
• Provided the training & customer guidance for the client/customer (station master and other operators) for how to use Local Control Panel & Maintenance Control Panel.
• Demonstration and provided example functionality of WESTRACE interlocking that connected to Simulator (GSIM) and how to use the configuration in order to perform principle testing effectively.
• Training and guideline maintenance team how to collect all log files and use play back options with Maintenance Local Panel.
• Responsible for Control Table & Principles testing for Sungai Gadut, Rembau, Tampin, Batang Melaka and Gemas station that was performed with Client & customer’s consults at site office, Malaysia.
• Supported project as the Assistant Principles Testing for Gemas station. Also produce the recorded & test log errors to interlocking designer team. The principle testing are based on schedule and planning from site requested.
• Assistant Tester for Functional Test (Pre-test and installation on site) at Gemas & Depot Yard Station, Malaysia.

Project: Tuas West Down Town Line (Singapore) and Wuhan Line Bidding (China)

• Responsible in part of design and created the scheme plan for bidding, 21 stations for Bid project.
• Calculated the approach distance of platform per station with report or comments. Headway Calculation and updated with error report comments.

Project: Level Crossing project, Grade Crossing Predictor (GCP4000) and level crossing design & upgraded (Australia)

• Created CAD drawings using AutoCAD to convey manufacturing and production configurations.
• Responsible for delivering the new design of GCP4000 which upgraded based on GCP3000 circuits as following details below:

i. WestNet Rail Level Crossing Project (Perth, Australia), 10 Stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing new design and upgraded

ii. Northern Territory Level Crossing Project (Darwin, Australia), 5 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded.

iii. GWA Level Crossing Project (Australia), 8 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded

iv. Alice Spring Level Crossing Project (Australia), 3 stations of GCP4000 Level Crossing for new design and upgraded.

• Programmable logic data to install in GCP4000 and produced as-built designed following test results from function test and site testing & commissioning.
