  • Managed payroll data entry and processing for 85 employees to comply with predetermined company guidelines. Amounts to be paid differed across the business each day depending on role for the day for employees.
  • Details of amounts were entered manually to the payroll system from timesheets. The payroll system used was MYOB.
  • I responsible for creating new employees, terminations of staff and other payroll changes for existing staff this included submission of the monthly superannuation details to the relevant clearing house.

Payroll and Rostering Officer

  • In my role as the stand-alone payroll and rostering officer at Montrose Therapy and Respite Services, Darra. I was responsible for all aspects of payroll, rostering and compliance.
  • Working within the EBA for Montrose and other government regulations for payroll on a fortnightly basis along with the rostering, leave and salary packaging arrangements
  • At end of each quarter I submitted the superannuation return and portable long service leave
  • On a regular basis I would liaise with administration staff or service managers either via email or phone to ensure that the pay each fortnight runs smoothly and if any issues arise, they are sorted by the time the pay run was ready
  • Due to a merger with another company this role was made redundant as all corporate functions were taken over by the other company.
  • The payroll system used was Aurion 11 with the rostering and leave system using EmpLive.

  • Working in a team of 12 in total and I was the sole payroll officer for all Cabin Crew (Flight Attendants) for short haul and long-haul flying
  • Virgin Australia is a nationwide employer with the Payroll Team located in Brisbane
  • My responsibility each fortnight was to ensure all Cabin Crew employee are paid correctly in accordance with their enterprise bargaining agreement
  • We currently have 3 different agreements that cover cabin crew
  • I am proficient in entering new starters with their correct bank, tax and superannuation details entered to Oracle
  • As banking details are only updated or changed in self-service by employees the only occurrence any change is done by me is when there has been a rejected pay
  • Each fortnight the leave details are transferred across via batches along any overtime and other allowances incurred by crew members
  • The exception to this is when an emergent flight has occurred for international duty and allowances are entered manually
  • These are often left to close to pay run cut off or paid retrospectively
  • I am proficient also in the termination process of employees ensuring all entitlements are paid within regulatory time frames
  • On a regular basis I would liaise with administration staff or crew leaders from all ports relating to other crew payroll matters either with email, phone or teams to ensure that any issues that may arise are resolved
  • I am very proficient with applying the Federal Government's JobKeeper payments and Paid Parental Leave pay each fortnight
  • This also includes the application of other deductions ranging from Child Support, private health funds, garnishees and salary sacrifice.
