Project Engineer – Well Construction

inGauge
05.2022 - Current
  • Engineering design of reservoir and aquifer isolation, well plug and abandonment in Queensland (ex-Link Energy and Carbon Energy Underground Coal Gasification facilities) and New South Wales (Legacy Mines Program)
  • Projects included technical and geological data analysis, development of testing procedures for novel well abandonment technique (bentonite plugging), project management and cost analysis
  • Engineering and Project Management support of Carbon Capture and Sequestration wells drilling in Queensland
  • Developed procedures for and led company-wide Geospatial Analysis projects (tools: QGIS, TUFLOW, Python) for Environmental Management Plans in the Northern Territory
  • Hydrology modelling (tool: TUFLOW) of potential flooding events for the purpose of risk assessment of civils and underground constructions in the Northern Territory
  • Developed multiple templates that allow for data standardisation, aggregation and analytics within the engineering and finance domains that are currently implemented across the company (tools: Excel and Power Query M)
  • Developed software for visualising the well downhole diagrams (tools: Python, Excel)
  • Was awarded the company’s 2023 Best Innovator Award for developing a GIS-based environmental constraints model for field development
  • Received a Letter of Recommendation from the Queensland Department of Resources for contributions to the decommissioning of an Underground Coal Gasification plant
  • Authored a research paper that was accepted for presentation at the Australian Energy Producers 2025 conference
