  • Investigated multiple claimed cases of wrongful conviction with the aim to reverse miscarriages of justice. Do so collaboratively with other interns.
  • Looking at and analysing various case materials such as court transcripts, police reports, witness statements and crime scene photographs.
  • Sorting and organizing files of various case material.
  • Analysing and evaluating case materials to see if anything aligns with potential innocence of our client to the crime they are accused or convicted for (improper police investigations, legal misconduct, missing information/evidence etc).
  • Responding to incoming enquiries from our clients (the accused) via phone call or email.
  • Speaking with our client(s), their family(s), relevant witnesses and legal bodies via phone call or email to access information regarding a case.
  • Theorising other possibilities of how the crime may have went by putting together evidence from the crime scene that may have not been considered in that light before.
  • Arranging this evidence in online documents and excel databases.
  • Reporting our findings and/or theories back to our supervisors each week via face-to-face and online meetings.
