Originally a chef by trade 2017-2025 I rose the ranks to the highest position in the field, Head Chef, which was my goal as an apprentice. After achieving my goal in cheffing I wanted to look at other careers and was offered a job by a friend, scaffolding, where I worked under a lead hand as a labourer and eventually got my basic scaffolding ticket and have worked on. residential and commercial builds since. Between scaffold we also installed and dismantled guard rail, hang on platform and stair voids. After leaving my original employer I was picked up by his boss where now I am called out to mainly do small aluminium scaffolds, guard rail and hang on with myself the lead hand of another less experienced scaffolder. The reason for my leaving this company is inconsistent work.
