Program & People Management:
• Provide leadership and direction to the Transition Officers involved in the delivery of TtW & MAP. Develop, monitor and evaluate work, performance
and staff development plans for all reporting staff
• Coordinate regular team meetings, de-briefing sessions and professional development events and activities. Foster a team approach, ensure high quality team outputs and make a positive contribution to the team environment
• Provide operational advice to stakeholders in relation to vocational training activities including schools, training providers, industry, community, LLENs, youth providers and other organizations
• Establish and coordinate all aspects of student administration in the MAP programs including
pre-enrolment interviews, enrolment, assessment, monitoring and record keeping protocols

  • Liaise with consortium partners (Jesuit Social Services, TaskForce & YouthNow) to implement TtW operations and deliver identified targets, as outline by Department of Education Skills and Employment.

Program Coordination:
• Evaluate and report upon the operation and results on TtW & MAP to Youth and Employment Services Manager, IMVC Executive and DET contract managers. Meet all
contract management deadlines for reporting requirements
• Maintain and develop appropriate professional and administrative skills to ensure the effective operation of the Transition Officers and Re-engagement Training staff.
• Coordinate audits with key personnel and ensure availability of all files/reports as requested by ‘the Department’.
• Oversee and implement internal audits every 3-6 months with all non-compliances rectified
• Maintain a customer focused approach towards the achievement of objectives. Keep up to
date records, information and resources relevant to program needs
• Oversee and develop methods to record statistical data and outcomes to meet 'the Department', Learn
Local and IMVC requirements
• Keep up to date with current training and other professional development
• Document good Youth Program practices and case studies

Strategic Planning and Policy:
• Assist to develop program specific Service Plans and manage budgets, staffing and resources
to adequately delivery contract requirements
• Contribute to policy development including setting of objectives and the evaluation of programs on matters related to Youth Programs
• Implement operational requirements as per contract service plans and IMVC business plans and communicate these requirements to relevant staff

Strategic Relationship Building and Networking:
• Develop and maintain key strategic contacts within service delivery regions. Including contacts with LLEN, community agencies, regional networks, industry, corporate, government and other stakeholders relevant to youth programs.
• Develop a strong knowledge of key providers in each region, regional gaps in service provision and opportunities to add value and build networks for Youth Programs and IMVC.

Marketing and Publicity:
• Coordinate the promotion of Youth Programs and activities to industry, education and training providers and the broader community. Develop and produce written materials for potential earners, employers and education and training providers
• Ensure all publications required by ‘the Department’ are compliant with relevant guidelines.
• Oversee planning and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns across all regions including representation on network forums and presentations to education and training providers, community organizations and employer networks.
