Been engaged in domestic electrical work for almost 5 years since starting apprenticeship in February 2017. Have been part of a small team just consisting of myself and my Employer leading to a much more personal learning experience from a skilled electrician who follows Australian rules and regulations closely.

Our work has covered an extremely wide range of areas from general service and real estate work, to high end home automation and renovations in a variety of different houses and apartments from simple stud and brick veneer, to more difficult solid brick or concrete, and even mostly asbestos houses where and skill and careful thinking must be applied to ensure safety and completion of contract.

Common tasks performed include:

• Installed and wired electrical transformers, service panels, and circuit breakers.
• Planned layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on specifications and applicable code.
• Owned and addressed client needs and product issues from inception to resolution.
• Demonstrated expertise in use of cable reels, stripping tools, voltage detectors and wire and cable cutters to complete fast-paced work.
• Coordinated with other trades and general contractors to facilitate layout of electrical installation.
• Worked with various types of cableways, conduits and other electrical raceways.
• Worked from ladders, scaffolds and lifts to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment and lighting fixtures in ceilings and on roofs.
• Performed tests on equipment post-installation to confirm compatibility and safety of electrical systems.
• Inspected electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, faults and repair requirements.
