Infrastructure Economics Experience:

  • Aaron spent three months in the Planning and Infrastructure Economics team in the KPMG IAP division as a consultant. His experience consisted of conducting railway economic scenario analysis, spatial analysis, and demand analysis on various proposals and engagements, leveraging his economics expertise to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients. Aaron was able to apply economic principles to evaluate and assess the feasibility of proposed projects, ensuring that they aligned with industry standard and regulation. He was able to collaborate with team members to identify potential challenges and risks associated with each engagement and provided input on potential solutions to mitigate them.


Project Delivery Experience:

  • Aaron served as the PMO Manager and Project Officer for a medium-sized, multi-million-dollar engagement, overseeing the transition of 12 health sites in the Torres and Cape region. His responsibilities included engagement management, WIP and budget management, handling change requests, managing travel expenses, milestone invoicing, and producing status reports and monthly financial summaries. In terms of client deliverables, Aaron led the development of the benefits realisation plan, managed project risks and issues, and facilitated lessons learned workshops for each of the three Go-Lives. As the Stream Lead for the manual migration team, he coordinated resourcing, prioritised scope items, and engaged with medical officers to ensure data quality. He held weekly Manual Migration Working Groups with site medical officers to address any issues during the manual migration phase. During the Hypercare stage, Aaron acted as the issues coordinator, managing the issues log and escalating to subject matter experts as needed. He also leveraged Agile systems like Jira and Confluence for day-to-day project delivery.
  • Aaron served as an analyst, assisting the implementation of a Powered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for a large health organisation. Aaron’s primary duties included drafting client facing documents, Program Scheduling using tools such as MS Project Schedule and building a Work Package delivery schedule; undertaking risk management practices through managing the internal risk and issues register; managing end-to-end onboarding for project team members; managing/updating program tracker/budget; and supporting the setup of JIRA for our joint agile delivery between KPMG and client. Aaron was also able to gain an understanding on the value other streams bring to a program such as Data Migration, Supply Chain & Procurement and Finance, as well as finding ways to utilise those resources to deliver value to the client. Aaron received positive feedback from engagement partners and the client on his efforts to ensure the delivery of the program.


Operations Advisory Experience:

  • Aaron served as an analyst in the establishment of a medium-sized forestry client's corporate back office, supporting executive stakeholders in determining which functions to centralise or decentralise across newly acquired forestry assets. He conducted process mapping, identified operational efficiencies, and supported the delivery of a corporate back office structure aligned with the company's strategy and culture.
