  • My main role at Mineral Resources I was the land access officer tasked with 3D seismic survey project in the Dandaragan/Moora area
  • A minimum 300km2 area was required to be surveyed for potential natural gas deposits
  • As well as ad-hoc assistance of well site/drilling negotiations

Approvals Coordinator & Land Access Officer Lead

  • In my role at MPC Kinetic, I was the sole approvals coordinator and land access officer for 2 pipeline projects in the Pilbara region: The FMG iron bridge Concentrate and Return Water Pipeline, and the Raw Water Pipeline
  • Both over 200km in length
  • I joined at the beginning of the project and was responsible for reviewing and acceptance of access deeds, process creation and stakeholder, heritage, environmental and cultural compliance procedures, these as well as ongoing responsibilities are below
  • Key responsibilities
  • Reviewing designs created by engineering, inspecting for intersection/proximity to HEC sites, tenement locations and compliance with all conditions
  • Direct involvement with client on creation of Land Usage Certificates and Disturbance Permit creation
  • Engagement with stakeholders, negotiating access and ensuring compliance with their conditions
  • Daily prestart meeting with 500+ employees, advising updates to work items, schedules, restrictions and conditions
  • Creation of spatial data in ArcGIS/QGIS and providing to survey teams to mark out boundaries of work areas and exclusion zones
  • Quality control of completed pegging data provided by survey
  • Occasional data point pick ups in field on behalf of survey as required
  • Creation of georeferenced maps, provide to all staff members, clearly showing locations of areas of interest (heritage zones, flora/fauna buffers, watercourses etc)
  • Leading pre-commencement meetings with ground teams to ensure understanding and compliance with conditions/requirements of work they are undertaking for each new area
