I have been employed as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher with the Queensland Ambulance Service since January 2013. During this time period, I gained merit and act in a supervisory role, have experience working in Patient Transport Services (PTS) and Frontline Services Group (FSG).

Primary Responsibilities:

· Receiving requests for service from the public (via 000 & non urgent line), QHealth, allied health services and other agencies

· Processing requests for service professionally and promptly including delivery of pre arrival instructions inclusive of first aid as required

Throughout these roles I was required to engage in operational policing with the community at large.

  • Engage with operational Police officers to teach in the use of operational skills and tactics in high stress situations
