My official title is Jeld Wen Co-ordinator responsible for the day to day operations of our largest contract with Corinthian Doors ( Ventora) supervising two full time Glaziers in this field and ensuring it runs efficiently and smoothly.

Apart from this I also do general factory glass cutting and install when required

  • Ability to accurately measure and cut float and laminate by hand and operating a Bottero laminate and float cutting table with a measure twice cut once attitude
  • Operating and maintaining multiple glass processing machines including Straight Line Edging Machine, Upright Belt Polisher, Laminate Cutter and Water Jet
  • Able to understand architectural drawings, hand cut and flat polish complex shapes by hand with the Upright Belt Polisher
  • Experience in CAD drawing, GPO cutouts, holes and complex shapes
  • Gantry crane experience including sucker grabs, plate grabs, chains and block grabs
  • On-site reglaze install experience including domestic windows, hack-outs, mirror installs and also commercial glazing of internal office partitions with lift loading and rubber glazing

  • Knowledge of the basic Glazing standards of AS1288 and AS2208
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Excel and Word, including maintaining and tracking usage of large quantities of glass sizes to order both domestically and Internationally
  • Email communications with various customers and suppliers helping with general enquiries and offering quotes for on-site's and glass products
  • Unloading of containers with crane and Boson Chair experience
  • Delegating work and finish times to workers to meet deadlines and ensure factory efficiency
