Research Assistant

Scoping Review for Teacher’s Mental Health Intervention

  • Worked with a cohort of professors from my university, led by Prof. Kanika Malik, on a systematic scoping review which looked into possible interventions for teacher’s mental health in low and middle income countries.
  • Collated and organised scoping reviews for analysis in citation softwares such as Mendeley and Zotero. This was my first research project in the field of education.
  • Published the research paper successfully in January 2025, under the title, “Implementing psychosocial interventions for teachers’ mental health: Protocol for integrating scoping review with teachers lived experiences in LMICs” with credit as a co-author on PLOS.

  • Responsible for designing a month-long social media campaign called 'FebRAREuary' to raise awareness of complex issues involving rare diseases.
  • Simplified complex scientific, medical and policy concepts related to rare diseases into easily understandable Instagram posts for a general audience.
  • Effectively used Canva for social media campaigns and my social media posts were commended by rare disease scientists from across the world for shedding light on their contributions.
  • Recommended ideas on how to structure the campaign over the course of a month and was present at all the meetings held during the internship.
  • Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.

  • Volunteered at Sandesh, a registered non-profit organization established to take care of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, for 3 weeks.
  • Gained significant first-hand experience in working with individuals, primarily children between the age ranges of 5 to 12, who were suffering from debilitating conditions that significantly affected their quality of life.
  • Engaged in task orientation and planning out a daily schedule of activities for the people at the centre and also helped them emotionally bond through playtime and craft activities.

    International Summer Course Program in Indonesia – June 2023

    Successfully completed an international community service program in mangrove planting and carbon trading readiness in Sumatra, which included developing programs for mangrove tourism.

    Qualitative Research Presentation on Secondary Victimisation faced by Acid Attack Victims - March 2023

    Selected to attend the 32nd Annual Convention of the National Academy of Psychology (NAOP) held at the Ahmedabad University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to present a scientific research poster on a qualitative analysis of Secondary Victimisation and How it Affects Acid Attack Victims.
