ABOUT ME
My name is Abbey Mentiplay and I want to learn, learn, learn!
I have been a passionate engagement teacher for over 20 years, and I am ready to transfer relevant skills, knowledge, and experiences, and start an exciting career change journey within the communications/engagement/marketing industry.
Over my professional career, I have also learnt many beneficial employability skills whilst being employed (and/or volunteering time/ideas) as: an engaging Entertainer/ , Event Promotional Activator (Euphorium, The Night of The Muses) and as a Founder/Coordinator of the loKal non-for-profit groups, Bag of Beauties (est. 2016) and The Golden Ukes (est. Feb 2024).
I think I will always be a ‘teacher’ at heart, but I am looking forward to learning about new and innovative digital technologies, whilst developing a range of communication activities within Curtain’s reputable team/s. I am confident that my ‘hands on’ and energetic nature will be an asset to this Communications and Engagement Coordinator position.
I am incredibly excited to fulfil my love of event activation and community engagement as a new employment priority.
