  • Working in a Hybrid position at a large law firm that has multiple offices across Australia.
  • My role is to support General Finance with accounts payable and receivable.
  • I additionally provide admin support to teams across all our offices. Assist in daily tasks such as actioning disbursement, invoice adjustment and rates. Whilst working cooperatively with the legal, trust accounting and people and culture teams.
  • Have taken on an opportunity to write a handbook for the firm's processes. Whilst also being able to assist in brainstorming the best structuring for the law and accounting teams going forward to ensure a smooth functioning workplace,
  • Assist in the preparation of reports to provide to the manager.
  • Aware of the functioning and procedures of 2 programs Practice Evolve, and PEXA. Sound knowledge of all the trust procedures required.

  • I worked externally for McInnes Wilson Lawyers and in-house for SLF Lawyers.
  • Assisted in managing team projects, received calls and handled tasks for clients. I was responsible for following up on accounts payable and completing bank reconciliation and receipting.
  • Other tasks consisted of basic invoicing, rate amendments, disbursement handling, and assisting with paralegals.
  • This allowed me to gain valuable skills and knowledge, and I became confident in training and managing people and tasks.
  • Used Excel, SharePoint, Practice Evolve, Serko, Zero and Actionstep.

  • Experience as a Brand, Event Ambassador and Assistant. I worked for companies at events such as the Super Rugby and in shopping malls representing brands such as Biossance.

  • Teams were given full responsibility for both setup and set down of stalls.
  • We were required to ensure that we met the aims and goals of the company we were supporting on the day. We also needed to ensure we represented the company's culture and values when running the stall or event.
