

With high-level professional experience in academia and NGOs, I consistently drive impactful results in the positions I have held over the last 12+ years. In my current position as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Wachemo University, I have demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and community engagement, with a specialized focus on Forced displacements, migration and refugee dynamics within the Horn of Africa. As the Focal Doctoral Representative at Bielefeld University, Germany, I led plenary meetings, fostering connections. In my role as Department Head at Wachemo University, Ethiopia, I steered administrative functions, ensuring a high education standard with professional leadership. As a Lecturer at Wolkite University, I prioritized developing my students in scientific and practical knowledge and skills. As the Manager of the Emanuel Women and Children’s Development Association, I executed innovative projects that changed the dire livelihoods of women and children in the community. In my project coordination position at the Ethiopian Catholic Church, Voluntas Dei Institute, I planned, implemented, monitored, and evaluated projects, and coordinated and supervised projects.
