Work History

Drum Teacher

Forte Music School
08.2023 - Current

At my time as a drum tutor with Mega Music taught students via the Vic Firth, 40 Rudiments method, coupled with The New Breed method which focus on stick control, fluidity and progressive drumming.

Whilst focusing on the basics for a strong foundation, for me music is about enjoyment so I encouraged students to bring in tracks they loved to play along to and encouraged them to explore various drumming styles and genres from blues and jazz to contemporary styles such as rock and dance.

As a vocal teacher I work with students via the Seth Riggs speech level singing approach, with an emphasis on contemporary genres of music such as jazz, pop and rock.

  • Familiarized students with basic concepts of music such as notes, tempo, drum symphony, beats, compositions, and chords.
  • Incorporated creative activities into lessons to engage students and spark interest in music.
  • Assessed student performance and provided constructive feedback to guide progress.
  • Collaborated with other music teachers to expand student knowledge and deliver comprehensive learning experiences.
  • Encouraged social interaction and collaboration among students to foster camaraderie and teamwork.
  • Planned and executed targeted lesson plans to instruct on music theory, music history, and performance etiquette.

Most important to me however, is to ensure that excellent customer care standards are met for every person entering the store and to maintain a fun, positive, and energetic vibe which reflects the values of Nespresso. Some of my key responsibilities were;
