Writing/journaling

I love writing and journaling. It allows my thoughts and feelings to run wild all on a piece of paper. At times, it's hard to open up and express my feelings to others because of the fear of their reaction and what they'll think. So, instead of expressing all of it verbally, I express it with my pen in my Journal. It allows my mind to also be free and clear of all the overthinking that I do. I believe I can proudly say that writing and journaling is a safe space for me.

Additional Information

During my work experience time, I learnt a couple of lessons. 1) Time management. You need to be able to prioritize your tasks so that you ensure you have enough time available to complete every task given to you. 2) Adapt quickly. Being able to adapt quickly to my environment or in general has slightly boosted my chances of success. In life, there are occasions when we run upon unpleasant surprises. Being adaptive has helped me stay afloat when life's challenges attempt to drag me under. And 3) Patience is key. The ability to maintain composure and focus while attending to customers' requirements is patience in the retail industry. For example, being required to spend a lot of time with a particular customer as they decide what they want or you might need to maintain your composure and patience while they vent their dissatisfaction. Developing patience can minimize disputes with anyone and help you manage your stress at work.
