Summary

As a final-year UNSW medical student (BMedSci/MD), I bring a strong foundation in clinical medicine complemented by a genuine passion for paediatrics. My experiences in the Teddy Bear Hospital programme and elective placements in paediatrics (Liverpool Hospital, Sydney & Great Ormond Street Hospital, London) have refined my communication, empathy, and teamwork—essential qualities when working with children and families. I am calm under pressure, proactive in learning, and deeply committed to delivering patient-centred care. I would contribute to a supportive and collaborative workplace culture through my enthusiasm, diligence, and ability to adapt quickly to clinical environments.

During my intern year, I hope to build on my interest in paediatrics, neonatology, and paediatric surgery by gaining broad-based clinical exposure and developing strong procedural and diagnostic skills. I am also keen to be involved in clinical research, particularly in areas related to child health, to contribute to evidence-based practice and develop skills in critical appraisal and data analysis. I am eager to work in multidisciplinary teams that support holistic and innovative patient care while continuing to grow both clinically and academically.
