Through achieving my Senior MDE title and taking on additional responsibility, my current role includes leading a sales team of MDE's of different experience levels.


Whilst on the sales floor I regularly tap into live calls to help close appointments and build additional value. Through this process team members can learn the pitch whilst building their own pipeline, this is crucial in helping each person improve on their objection handling and on-the-spot thinking.


This role brings a unique challenge as I am now responsible for both hitting my personal targets and assisting in my teams individual figures.


My role includes -

  • Leading a team of MDE's to hit both their personal targets and our team target.
  • Running daily and weekly meetings with all team members to inform and update on sales achieved vs daily target.
  • One to one training based on areas of improvement, this includes call coaching/listening, role play and daily feedback.
  • Continuous coaching and support to motivate and encourage the team on the task ahead.
  • Setting clear and fair expectations regarding work rate, self development and willingness to learn.
  • Group training sessions on sourcing, pitch (pace, tonality and Passion), building value through use of the website & industry knowledge, daily work flow and mindset.

This is a fast paced direct sales role with monthly targets, extra hours outside of work and an irrational commitment to achieving personal and company targets.


My role included -

  • Sourcing data based on market trends, existing clients, social media presence and a genuine need for our service.
  • Cold calling Managing Directors and CEO's, closing appointments to take part in a bespoke presentation.

My role at Urban Connect as a Recruitment Consultant was to further develop relationships across Architecture and Cost & Project Management in the North West market.
