Summary

Driven by safety, I strive to complete all tasks in a timely manner, whilst building a strong team environment. A loving husband & proud father of 2, I have been blessed in my home & work life. My work journey has taken me all over the country, gaining skills, knowledge & experience in most facets of my bricklaying trade & my cranes & rigging profession. From building mailboxes, domestic housing & high rise apartments to calciners in heavy industry refineries, to heritage restoration & maintenance in carbon bake pits & pot line cell rebuilds. As a rigger & operator I've worked many jobs from domestic through to heavy industry. Maintenance, shut-down, project & construction Australia wide. I lead my crew as part of the team that demobilised the 2 tunnel boring machines that dug the Legacy Way tunnel (a world 1st & engineering masterpiece). I also helped take delivery of a brand new LR11350 crawler crane, built & demobilised to perform various lifts around Australia. The most memorable was a 500T platform to the top of a tank on the Inpex Ichthy's gas project in Darwin, with a rigging configuration that contained 19 spreader bars. I love working in remote places on specialised jobs & thrive in a team environment. At 40 years old, it's time for me to take on a new career challenge, in a field that will see me through to retirement.

  • 2008-Present. I have been involved as a member of the Miriam Vale Magpies Rugby League Football Club who are an integral part of our local community. Throughout this time I have been active as a player, league safe, manager, club president & in 2023 was inducted as a life member of the club.
  • 2012 I initiated a Hat Day fund raiser for mental health in which I purchased all the goods for a sausage sizzle. I recruited a small team of volunteers to help run the operation that we set up out the front of a major refinery in the Gladstone Region. I had asked my employer if they would match what we raised, dollar for dollar, & we were able to donate $2,000 to the Rotary Club.
  • Throughout my 17 + years being involved in the Miriam Vale & surrounding communities I have always been quick to put my hand up & help support any of the local fund raisers & events & am proud to be a part of such a wonderful little community.
