My major achievements were to:

  • Completely recast strategy, putting Australian story telling and digital front and centre
  • Successfully advocate for policy settings to support Australian content production
  • Negotiate major commercial agreements. We also met or exceeded budget each year
  • Won a highly consequential Copyright Tribunal decisions, that set the price of content
  • Represent the organisation and members at festivals and international conferences
  • Successfully complete a major digital transformation program with eight strands of work

  • Successfully campaign with film/television producers for policy changes to reduce piracy

Major achievements were to:

  • Develop and negotiate ACCC approved agreements that were a fundamental part of reducing the cost of Hollywood content from over 70% to 50% of revenue
  • Negotiate with Disney to get Disney channels on Optus' network.
  • Successfully managed wholesale area, which covered around one third of Foxtel's customer base and hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue.
  • Oversaw policy development and all Foxtel advocacy on Australian content policy

  • Provided financial advice to Singtel's representatives on overseas investments
  • Oversaw Singtel's assessment of major investment in new mobile network
  • Managed a team of financial analysts and reported to the CFO

    • Obtaining ACCC regulatory decisions that were worth billions of dollars to Optus
