In my role as venue manager at C.R.E.A.M., I manage a team of 11 people and am responsible for ensuring every facet of the business runs smoothly. Some of my responsibilities include:

  • Promoting a positive atmosphere and going above and beyond to guarantee each customer receives exceptional food and service.
  • Carefully interviewing, selecting, training, and supervising staff.
  • Handling customer concerns in a professional manner to ensure we have long-term relationships with our patrons.

With BHP, I worked underground in various roles including development nipper, face prep, services, 2IC, specialist and supervisor. Here, I learnt to safely, efficiently and effectively manage tasks and people while following procedure and planning. My role included but was not limited to:.

  • Setting up development headings as per geotechnical plan requirements.
  • Catering to the needs of the jumbos/operators in my area in a timely manner and performing basic jumbo operations.
  • Installing, extending, and repairing 110mm and 63mm poly air, water and dewater services throughout the mine.
  • Installing and replacing 2"/4” sandpiper, 5/8/18kw flygt pumps and mono pumps.
  • Running and repairing 940/1220/1400 ventilation.
  • Installing brattices, parachutes and QBC blinds.
  • Operating CAT integrated tool-carriers with workbasket/tines/bucket.
  • Operating MacLean LR3 Fan Carrier.
  • Operating CAT R2900 Loader.
  • Installing and reclaiming single and twin-stage fans.
  • Building barricades (straight, arched, reverse and reo type) and QBC frames.
