· Implement security measures for safe and vigilant custody of prisoners of various security ratings, health, cultural and special needs.
· Prisoner induction-induction of new prisoners, outlining rules and regulations.
· Implement prisoner case management and assist them through professional and respectful behaviour.
· Ensure prisoner safety and welfare by reinforcing behaviour codes and monitoring their daily routine.
· Surveillance through regular interaction and supervision during recreation, programs, and patrols.
· Prevent contrabands, monitor property, and conduct prisoner’s strip, pat and cell searches.
· Prisoner Escorts-Assist prisoner movements and transport to courts, hospitals and funerals, and recreational, and industrial activities.
· Responsible for writing reports for workplace hazards, incidents and injuries.
· Implement control restraint defensive techniques for noncompliant prisoners.
· Daily routine inspection of cells for the safety and hygiene of prisoners.
· Monitoring and observing high-risk category prisoners for physical and emotional well-being.
Kitchen Correctional Industrial Officer (Acting)
· Ensure the efficient operation of the Kitchen by meal planning, the preparation of meals, and the scheduling and functioning of Kitchen operations.
· Supervision and allocation of work to prisoners to ensure that the provision of prisoner meals is achieved by following appropriate hygiene and quality standards, HACCP.
· Ensure meeting special and cultural dietary requirements of Prisoners delivered within allocated budget guidelines.
· Ensure all equipment is functional, all malfunctions are reported and a high level of hygiene, safety, order and cleanliness in the work environment is maintained.
· Collaborate with the Kitchen Co-ordinator for resource planning and stock management.
· Efficient in operating buses in accordance with operating procedures, guidelines, timetables, safety measures, rules, and regulations.
· Competent in ticket and fare management and handling cash.
· Effective in handling radio network equipment to report any incidents and follow instructions from operations controllers and supervisors.
· Proactively identify faults and rectify them by effectively communicating with the coordinators.
· Experience in handling special needs customers and providing them a safe and excellent customer service.
· Preparation and maintenance of incident report register to record any incidents that occur on time and ensure appropriate measures are taken for the safety of passengers and the public.
