- Often working individually or in a small team environment.

- Assisting residents with meals and ensuring good food and fluid intake.

- Assisting residents with all personal hygiene needs ie. toileting, peri wash's, showering, grooming and dressing.

- Administering residents medication, as per their medication chart.

- Noting changes within a resident and reporting to Nurse IC for further assessment.

- Document in residents progress notes any changes or incidents which may have occurred within your shift.

- Offering both dignity and respect toward all residents and ensuring all spiritual needs are met.

- Maintaining residents rights and confidentiality.
