• Assisting FIFO GPs with preparing the client with the treatment procedures, following health professional directions, monitor, report and record patient's file.
Main procedures:
- Excision, biopsy
- Dressing of a wound not involving scheduled medication wound care
- Suture and staple removal
- Plastering and removal of plaster
- Application of bandaging, splints and slings
- Set up and monitoring of nebulisation without medication
- Pap tests
- Physical examination
- Minor operations- excision, biopsy
• Training new clinical employee on Best Practice Software
• Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and enquirers
• Transporting patients between home and hospital
• Scheduling appointments, recalls and reminders, follow up appointments
• Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, as well as ensuring that all
information acquired is accurate and current
• Scheduling external appointments for any clients that require hospital admission and tests
• Medication stocking, Cold chain management
• Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing
• Great understanding of medical billing and Medicare Benefits Scheme
• Comforting distressed patients – this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise,
