Dynamic and adaptive piano teacher with several years of teaching and accompaniment experience. My goal as a teacher is to establish strong relationships with the students and to help develop their musical voice and expressive potential. My lessons are focused on developing pianistic skills, theory, interpretation of composition and sight-reading and aural skills. I believe as a teacher and musician it is our duty to inspire one another through this great art form. I focus on the importance of having discipline and a goal when practicing while also giving students the freedom to develop their own opinions and interpretations about a work they are learning. I'm open to teaching a variety of music genres and styles as it is important to always keep an open mind. As an accompanist I'm constantly communicating with ensembles leaders, conductors and fellow musicians which has helped honed my collaborative skills as a pianist throughout the years.
Aside from all this, I enjoy researching about pedagogical methods both old and new in order to improve my craft as a pianist and tutor. I regularly practice and learn new repertoire and also try to look for performance opportunities around Sydney when the occasion arises.
