I worked in the Stormwater and Flooding group and was involved in various water engineering projects. My responsibilities included hydraulic and hydrological modelling and assessment, stormwater drainage design, flood impact assessments, water-sensitive urban design, and water quality management

• Undertaken detailed hydrology and hydraulic assessments to determine and predict water flow and disruption using XP-RAFTS, DRAINS, TUFLOW and HECRAS
• Performed flood risk assessments to evaluate potential impacts and develop mitigation strategies
• Integrated sustainable water management practices into urban planning and development projects
• Monitored and managed water quality to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations
• Prepared detailed reports, technical documents, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Utilised QGIS and MapInfo for spatial data analysis, mapping, and visualisation to support water resource planning and decision-making

The responsibilities undertaken in this role include reviewing and approving development applications for traffic and transport and stormwater drainage, traffic and parking investigations, and traffic management plans such as footpath work and event traffic. They also include delivering project design/drafting for various projects, including road and drainage design for civil and urban development projects.
