Summary

Overall, I have a particular interest in environment.and ecology, and biodiversity management. I have over ten years ofprofessional and academic work experience in Australia and overseas, withduties ranging from environmental assessment, environmental management, biodiversity, data analysis, report writing and scientific publications. Mostrecently I worked as a senior ecologist and environmental scientist with anenvironmental consulting company based in Melbourne. Below, I have providedinformation outlining my relevant experiences, skills, previous responsibilities.and capacities.

Postdoctoral Fellowship

University of New England, Department of Zoology
  • Postdoctoral researcher in biodiversity and woodland bird monitoring project funded by NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (Saving Our Species project) and Northern Tablelands Local Land Services
  • Main duties include:
  • Extensive wildlife surveys at selected TSRS in the Northern Tableland regions
  • Collaborations with farmers to facilitate biodiversity conservations
  • Managing pest population
  • Long-term bioacoustics monitoring of pest species

Environmental Biologist

Mohit-Yaran Environmental Engineering Company
  • Main duty induced environmental impact assessment of development projects
  • Sample projects:
  • Environmental impact Assessment of Ahangaran Lead and Zinc Mine
  • In this project, I worked as an environmental engineer and had the responsibility of examining the impacts of the mining project on the soil contaminations
  • Briefly, my duties were as listed below:
  • V Collaborate with managers and different experts involved in the project v Assessment of the impacts of mine project on soil chemical contaminations v Designing an appropriate protocol for examining the impacts of mine on soil chemical contaminations v Assessment of the scale and the types of the soil chemical contaminations resulted from mine activities
  • V Providing environmental consulting for the managers and staff of the mine project v Evaluating and analysing soil contaminations and proposing mitigation steps
  • Environmental Impact Assessment of Malayer Alloy Steel Manufacture
  • I worked in the project as a senior environmental engineer and was responsible for the following aspects in the project
  • V Conduct assessment of impacts on chemical environmental components v Determine activities that might lead to environmental contaminations v Monitoring and evaluating wastewater and solid waste management system v Analyses, synthesis and potential mitigations for of the impacts on the chemical environments including soil and water contaminations
