Aidan Bulkeley

Since moving to Brisbane, I have held a job at Indooroopilly Golf Club. The job has opened me up to new experiences as I learn and become versed in all aspects of golf course maintenance and greenkeeping.

• Daily golf course maintenance including mowing of all playing surfaces, Bunker preperation, fertilising, and course setup
• Exposure to irrigation systems and turf repairs
• Contributed to the build and grow-in of a newly constructed 9-hole layout
• Operated a range of turf maintenance equipment

During my summers I returned home to the Gold Coast and took up a position at Sanctuary Cove Golf Club in a similar role to the one at Indooroopilly Golf Club

• Expanded my knowledge of golf course/turf management
• Exposed to different irrigation system (Toro)
• Widened range of turf machinery operation
• Assisted in the preparation and set up of a professional golf tournament (WPGA Championship).

For three years during the mid-year university break I have been able to work at an accounting firm. Here I gained valuable work experience, and for the first time I was introduced to full time work.

• Assist with preparation of financial statements, BAS, and tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
• Support senior accountants with data entry, reconciliations, and document management.
• Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and Microsoft platforms to manage day-to-day financial tasks.

Prior to moving to Brisbane I held a job as a bar assistant.

• Delivered customer service in a high-volume venue
• Worked in a collaborative team environment

I worked as a groundsmen for the PBC Cricket club for 3 years.

• Sole responsibility for wicket and outfield maintenance
• Learned foundational turf care including mowing, pitch prep, and marking
