Summary

As part of my duties through my previous employers I have had to use and apply many transferable and desirable skills. I have gained excellent oral and written communication, as well as great time keeping and time management skills. My roles in software engineering and in customer service have given me the opportunity to analyse any problems or difficulties and apply regulations and good practices to achieve goals. Computer literacy is now an integral part of business and administrative operations today and I have had 6 years of experience using a vast range of software and computer programs such as MS Office. I enjoy being kept very busy and keeping on top of tasks as well as multitasking to ensure efficiency. I consider myself to be a quick learner and am ready to learn and take on new skill sets at any given time.

  • As a software engineer at Almac, I learned and used many transferable skills on a daily basis. My main duty's were to complete projects and carry out daily assignments to ensure all tasks were completed in due time by communicating with other team members and managers. To ensure all this I had to utilise many skills that can be transferred to other areas of employment, such as -
  • Communicating with team mates on a daily basis
  • Attending and leading daily stand up meetings to ensure tasks were being completed in a timely manner, as well as picking up and deciding the priority level of new tasks
  • Prioritising tasks needing to be completed by certain deadlines
  • Organising meetings with colleagues and managers
  • Managing deadlines Keeping on top of different time zones to ensure the respectful timings of meetings with colleagues in different continents
  • Keeping logs of daily work and time spent on each task to ensure efficiency of each task
  • Problem solving - work out the best way to start and continue on a piece of work
  • Completing tasks in a timely manner yet efficiently to ensure all details are included allowing me to have strong attention to detail

  • As a retail assistant in Mountain Warehouse, I had many duties such as keeping client to business relationships as well as customer satisfaction
  • Upon arrival for each shift, I was required to check the stores KPIs and stats and create a plan to improve upon these during my shift
  • Due to the nature of the store (outdoor equipment and clothing) I had to fully engage with each customer to find out their exact needs and recommend the best options for them
