- Leadership & Team work - Encouraging a team of 10 - 15 people with hands-on supervision and coaching. Leading by example and mentoring of apprentices. Dealing with issues that arise in the workshop to resolve promptly. Understanding strengths and weaknesses and assigning tasks best suited to abilities.
- Technical Support - working with clients over the phone to problem solve. Organising parts to be dispatched to get machines up and ruining promptly.
- Field Service - Travel to site to fix or commission machines
- Spare Parts- Quotes from different suppliers maintaining appropriate stock levels and chasing up overdue parts.
- Quoting - Providing price estimates on labour and parts for rigs, compressors and auxiliary equipment repairs.
- Rig Installation - Attaching rigs to truck beds using engineered drawings and modifying or moving components to fit.
- Sub Assembly - Assembling components to drawings, making sure all tolerances are correct and checking operation before being installed on the machine.
- Hydraulic Hosing - Manufacture and installation as per schematic drawings to MDG 41.
- Drill Rig Commissioning - Setting all flows, pressures, reliefs, counterbalances, speeds and checking all safety interlocks and cutouts are working correctly to the OEM
- Communication - Weekly catch ups with clients to keep them informed on the progress, variations and due dates of their parts or machine repairs.
- Pre Delivery Inspections - Function checking of machines once work has been completed. Inspecting machines to ensure all fasteners are fitted and tight. Checking ropes fitted match rope certificates supplied. Handovers of machines to the client.
- Safety - Ensuring workshop safety compliance. Weekly safety meetings, incident and accident reports. Reading and signing off on JSA's
