Over 10 years experience in the administration and management of the SBAT program within the Catholic and Independent school systems. Oversaw a 500% growth in SBATs within Sydney Catholic Schools, establishing the SBAT as a real option for students entering a vocational pathway for Stage 6 study. Over 30 years experience in VET, employment services, various labour markets and programs.
-Responsible for the management and coordination of over 350 school based apprentices and trainees throughout Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)
-Managed the development and dissemination of support materials for careers advisors and Year 10/11/12 coordinators throughout SCS
-Responsible for the development of all SBAT promotional materials within SCS
-Oversight of Industry Placement Officers within the 4 SCS Trade Training Centres
-Responsible for the ongoing mentoring of careers advisors to assist in SBAT awareness helping them better communicate with employers, parents and students
-Responsible for SBAT presentations at school subject selection nights, employer conferences and teacher professional development days
-Assisted in the implementation and responsible for ongoing maintenance of the SBAT database within SCS
-Assisted in the development of training plans with SCS RTO Management
-Negotiated with and disseminated information for a wide range of employers, peak bodies, TAFE NSW and private RTOs.
-Provision of regular status reports and briefings to senior management and other key stakeholders
-Oversight of the Anglican Technical College SBAT program
-Responsible for over 90% of students employed in SBATs in various vocations
-Development of training plans for students
-Promotion of SBATs to employers, students, peak bodies and TAFE
-Presented at school enrolment evenings
-Management of apprentices and trainees within a number of group training companies
-Liaising with employers and TAFE representatives regarding learner progress
-Represented organisations at various career expos, industry nights
