  • I manage multiple suppliers from around the world & freight forwarders to handle our orders coming into Australia
  • Our biggest supplier being in Italy - this role has taught me better communication skills as I’m dealing with companies where English in the second language
  • My hours are also flexible to suit the time differences
  • I also manage a few states in Australia providing Exporting of local products to Asia Customers & New Zealand
  • My daily tasks can change day to day - I am a quick learner who is great with systems & programs
  • We use multiple programs within our company to handle all aspects such as accounts, shipping and vessel tracking, local orders & invoicing. Softwares included - JDE, BSM (international shipping program), all Office programs.
  • Processed customs declarations and maintained records of customs documents.
  • Improved invoice accuracy through diligent review of shipping documents and timely communication with finance department.
  • Reduced shipment delays with proactive communication between international suppliers and transportation partners.
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction by efficiently resolving order discrepancies and delivery issues.
  • Streamlined import and export processes by implementing effective documentation procedures.
  • Maintained accurate records of all import/export transactions to ensure full traceability and audit readiness. All stock had reports made up for quality control such as colour, sizing to meet Australian requirements etc. It was my responsibility that this was checked off and signed by our QC department before items were shipped.
  • Coordinated with internal teams to enable timely ordering, shipping and receipt of goods. Spoke to our Yards on a regular basis to ensure receipting was done on time and accurately. Actively advising sales representatives regarding shipping delays, production issues etc.
  • Shipping rates were monitored and updated on a monthly basis - I was responsible for ensuring approvals were done as each shipment had 3 currencies - AUD, EUR & USD to be approved and entered to ensure our freight forwarders were paid on time.
