As a Solution Architect on the West Margrave program,I lead the analyses, design and implementation of the West Margrave Digital portfolio. This included a specific focus on the following :

• Technology Infrastructure services : Analysis , Design and Implementation of OT and IT Hosting platform including all other supporting technology services like backup, Remote Access , etc.
• Data Platforms : Development of Data Strategy and Data Platform for WMG
• Mining Systems : Analysis and Architecture framing of Autonomous Fleet Solution
• Production Systems : Development of PlatPax High-Level Design
• Business Applications : Following the BHP Architecture Development Process to facility the design and deployment of business application into the West Musgrave and larger BHP Eco-system.
• Architecture Development : Implementing a Agile based Architecture development process. Note : After the BHP merger I transformed this process to align with the BHP Architecture development process.

Some of the key activities I was responsible for included :

• Designed and developed high-level and detailed solution architectures for Digital systems.
• Obtained sign-offs from the relevant stakeholders and architecture governance bodies
• Ensured quality control by verifying adherence to approved requirements and engineering standards during each phase of a project's development
• Discussed design specifications and procedures with project manager, engineering team and construction manager.
• Reported on status of design process and cost analysis to project manager.
• Maintained effective relationships with external vendors and partners in order to ensure successful execution of projects.

While working at BHP, I served as a Program Architect for various MinAus East and South projects. During my time; BHP employed a triad resourcing model for each program, consisting of a Project Manager, Solution Architect, and Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Throughout my tenure, I had the opportunity to contribute to several significant projects, some of which are highlighted below :

• Olympic Dam Village Security Uplift : Replacement of CCTV Management platform and physical access control systems to align to new village security standard.
• SmartPlant cloud Migration : Replacing legacy on-prem SmartPlant application with new cloud based IaaS and PaaS deployment.
• Tailings Dam Monitoring Uplift - Implement a fibre optic and dam level monitoring SaaS solution that track structural changes and alert on potential dam wall failures.

I held a contract position as a Cloud Network Architect at SA Power Networks, with a specific focus on driving the successful implementation of the following strategic initiatives

• I contributed to the development of a comprehensive 5-year network roadmap, which highlighted critical programs of work in the network domain. These initiatives were instrumental in facilitating SA Power Networks' journey toward achieving its digital transformation strategy
• Creating a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) aimed at facilitating the efficient implementation and utilization of Azure-based services
• Implementation of an Azure based Highly Available PaaS Firewall platform

I was engaged by OZ Minerals to provide support to the Project Management Office (PMO) in the capacity of a Project Architect while concurrently initiating an enhancement process for the architecture practice.

• Developed an AWS Cloud hosting strategy
• Designed an Engineering Framework , enabling vendors and ICT design engineers to create uniform architectures and designs."
• Established an Architecture Review Board and a framework for assessing information security risks."
• Formulated a comprehensive Enterprise Storage Strategy encompassing both Cloud and On-Premises solutions
• Lead an OZM AWS Well-Architected review and assisted with the development of a remediation roadmap to address issues.
• Lead the deployment of SNOWFLAKE SaaS tenancy for OZM

I contracted as Solutions Architect for the South Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet. During my time I was tasked to develop architecture designs for the following programs of work.

• Evaluation and Solution options analysis for Remoter Access Capability uplift
• Design of Barring Order application using the Azure platform. The concept was to use facial recognition to identify under ages individuals that wanted to enter clubs and other adults only entertainment facilities in Adelaide.

Delivering Digital 2016-2020, the department’s digital technology strategy,” outlines a 5-year plan to provide integrated, secure, and flexible digital systems and services to transform the education, care, and protection sector

• A strategic priority in Delivering Digital 2016-2020 is the Education Management System (EMS) Program: a multi-year transformation towards a process of continuous improvement, where integrated systems and data facilitate improved care and learning outcomes
• The EMS Program aims to deliver, for 2019-2020 a Cloud-based Education Management Platform that integrates with the department’s on-premises BI data platform and other downstream systems via an integration middleware solution
• Albert was the lead Solution Architect across all streams of work
• His key responsibilities included: Establishing an Architecture Engineering Capability to deliver architecture services to the EMS Program within an agile project delivery paradigm
• Developing technology and architecture roadmaps that informed investment decisions Stakeholder management Development of a Requirements Engineering Standard to support BA’s and facility tractability across all architecture domains (Business, Application, Data and Technology)

• Working for SMS (now ASG) as a Solutions Architect, Albert was placed at SAWater (SAW) to work on several project that supported SAW’s 5-year portfolio roadmap
• As a project architect Albert’s key responsibilities included: Development of solution architecture deliverables based on SAW’s architecture directives and standards Working with Vendors to capture solutions capabilities & assure alignment with architecture Development of solution options and recommendation to address identified gaps between architecture design and vendor’s product capabilities Supporting the implementation of solution by providing architecture governance during deployment phases Provide status reports on architecture deliverables at SAW’s Technology and Architecture Reference Group Some key initiatives Albert worked on, and the skills used include the following: Developing an integration architecture and data model for consuming AEMO Energy files in SAW BI Platform
• Integrating several SaaS providers with SAW using the existing BizTalk ESB Using IoT devices, integrated via Azure to provide real-time data to SAW data analytics platform used for real-time fault monitoring.

• Albert performed two main roles at Anittel namely that of Pre-Sales Solutions Architect and Senior Developer
• As a Pre-Sales Architect, Albert supported Anittel in marketing their O365 service offering
• Assisting in the development and presentation of marketing material, developing proposals and cost models for solutions, and working with potential customers to define their requirements

• Key project Albert work on while at Anittel was the development of an online cost estimation tool

• As part of HP’s Data Centre Transformation Programme, Albert worked as a Solution Architect leading a cross-functional global virtual team in whose primary aim was to assist HP’s clients in their data centre transformation journey
• Albert’s key responsibilities included: Performing an in-depth as-is analysis of the client's current environment that spanned all architecture domains (Motivation & Strategy, Risk & Compliance, Business, Data, Application, Technology and infrastructure)
• Leading the development of a data centre transformation strategy to move clients from their existing data centre to the new HP data centres or HP’s cloud platform
• Working with the PMO in assessing migration feasibility, identifying dependencies and provide detailed costing of the migration effort Workshopping with the customer’s and HP’s key stakeholders to resolve migration issues and communicating the organizational change impact of the migration

• CSC relocated Albert to Adelaide to assume the role of Lead Architect for BHP Uranium
• The role required Albert to work closely with the BHP Uranium Enterprise Architects and the Uranium CIO
• Albert's key responsibilities included: Leading the development of a four-year Strategic IT Road Map for the Olympic Dam project Transforming Strategic intent to portfolio initiatives Leading the development of transition solution architecture designs to implement portfolio and project initiatives
• Ensure alignment and compliance to BHP Uranium’s EA framework Input into the development of RFI’s and RFT Working with Vendors to align solution capabilities with architecture requirements Ensure compliance of all architecture and solution designs with BHP Uranium’s health and safety compliance framework

• Albert’s role with CSC was that of Project Solutions Architect
• Albert worked across multiple global accounts and industries translating Architectures into Solution Designs: Albert’s key responsibilities as project architect included: Development of solution architecture designs using CSC’s proprietary Catalyst Design methodology, which was a predecessor of the TOGAF framework
• Design workshops with clients to capture solution requirements based on defined business requirements Development of solution options and recommendation to address customer needs Supporting the implementation of solution by providing architecture governance during deployment phases
