Work History

Electrical Apprentice

P & N Rogers Electrical Contractors PTY LTD
11.2023 - Current

Throughout my career as an electrical apprentice at P & N Rogers, one of my main responsibilities included being the lead assistant in the production of residential electrical switchboards across Sydney. This included constructing both three-phase and single-phase switchboards for houses, granny flats, temporary power setups, and show homes. I consistently ensured all boards were wired and tested in strict compliance to the AS3000 Electrical Installations Wiring Rules, always prioritizing safety and quality.
Over the course of my apprenticeship, I produced over 100 switchboards for eight different home builders, each with their own specifications.
In addition to switchboard manufacturing, I gained hands-on experience with a wide range of on-site electrical work This included rough-ins, finish-offs, and maintenance work. A large portion of my time was spent on maintenance jobs, Work included installing security systems, such as CCTV cameras, alarm sensors, and sirens, as well as installing general household appliances like rangehoods, induction cooktops, hot water systems, and hardwired ovens. Other maintenance tasks included adding and replacing electrical equipment, fault finding, temporary power setups and much more.
My maintenance work also exposed me to the commercial sector, allowing me to contribute to renovation projects at locations like the Burbank Office in Narellan Town Centre, Hall & Hart's Northbridge Office, and Mount Annan Christian College.
During rough-in stages, my tasks involved correctly wiring power, lighting, and individual circuits for equipment like air conditioners, ovens, and fridges, always using the appropriate cable sizing and safe installation practices. For finish-off work, I installed GPOs, various light fittings and their switches, ducted equipment such as exhaust fans as well as isolation switches.
This diverse experience has equipped me with a solid understanding of electrical systems, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to always providing high standards. I take pride in my work ethic and would bring reliability and quality which will truly benefit your company.
