With over a decade of experience in the building sector, beginning as a carpentry apprentice, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and valuable skills that make me an effective manager. I lead by example, actively listen and communicate clearly, foster a collaborative team environment, and remain calm under pressure. I thrive on challenging projects and am flexible to work in various roles like project/site management or hands-on carpentry. My logistical thinking allows me to problem-solve building issues with ease. While empathetic, I can also take a firm stance when necessary. • A registered member of “New Zealand Certified Builders Association”.
• Licensed Building Practitioner”. Carpentry and Site 3 ready.
• Proficient in the use of office-based application software i.e., Microsoft Office, Aconex, Procore, and safety programs i.e., Bware.
• Understand in full, project documents i.e., building resource and consent conditions, plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building system procedures.
• Understand in full “NZ Standards” i.e., 3604: 2011, 4229:2013 & “NZBCC” E1/AS1, E2/ AS1, E3/AS1 requirements.
• Understand the fundamentals of the “Health and Safety Work Act 2015”, and its associated amendments.
• Understand the fundamentals of the “Construction Contacts Act 2002” and its associated amendments, the “Building Act 2004” and its associated amendments, building contract requirements i.e., “NZ Standards” 3901:1974 & 3910:2013, and the “Resource Management Act 1991” and its associated amendments.
• Able to format and provide builders reports to homeowners and stake holders.
