During my tenure at the City of Sydney Council and Blacktown Council, I led numerous playground projects from inception to completion, showcasing my proficiency in landscape and civil works. • Designed and implemented comprehensive landscape plans for playground areas, considering factors such as aesthetics, sustainability, and usability.
• Managed the construction of playground structures and amenities, overseeing all aspects of civil works, including excavation, grading, and drainage.
• Coordinated with contractors and suppliers to procure materials and resources necessary for playground construction projects.

Supported the General Manager in overseeing the construction team, including supervising Site Supervisors, Apprentices, Labourers, and Subcontractors. Facilitated negotiations and engagement with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring optimal project resources. Maintained effective communication channels with client site and management teams, managing staff allocations and project schedules accordingly. Responsible for submitting progress claims to clients and coordinating closely with the accounts team. Collaborated seamlessly with Maintenance and Ecology teams to ensure project success and alignment with environmental considerations.

• Supported the Director in the day-to-day management of the overall business operations. Oversaw Site Supervisors, Apprentices, Labourers, and Subcontractors, and facilitated negotiations and engagements with subcontractors and suppliers. Explored strategies to optimize financial outcomes while maintaining effective communication with client site and management teams. Managed staffing allocations, project schedules, and progress claims submissions to clients, coordinating closely with the accounts team. Provided assistance to senior management, conducted employment candidate interviews, and supported the Estimating department. Additionally, served as Senior Estimator and Project Manager post-award, responsible for pricing key projects and ensuring their successful execution.

• Read, interpreted, and measured construction drawings, worked out volumes and quantities of materials for landscape works, prepared quotes for tender, produced purchase orders, liaised with client Contract Administrators, Estimators, and Project Managers, engaged with supplier representatives, assisted Mansour Project Manager with project implementation, produced safety documentation, assisted with inducting and training of new employees, and ordered and tracked yard materials.

• Responsible for set out of construction areas, reading plans/drawings, construction/installation of landscape projects, working out volumes and quantities of materials, assisting Foreman with general duties, and assisting with training of 1st Year Apprentice.

• Responsible for development of Casual Merchandising within convenience operational team, conducting performance discussions with merchandisers, deployment of convenience recourse, responsible for selection/recruitment of convenience merchandising staff, responsible for building strong relationships with Area/Store Managers, responsible for achievement of convenience distribution by category, planning and building Call Frequency schedules, responsible for achieving display targets by category, assisting Foreman with general duties, and assisting with training of 1st Year Apprentice.
