General Knowledge - Description
I have a good working knowledge of many computer programs involved with the processing and manufacture of product, I also have a good eye for detail as well as being trained in quality control processes and how to implement and rectify any defective process. I have worked in various roles within the steel and coal industry and have been involved in safety and the implementation of safety processes and safety improvements. I have an excellent safety record and get involved with safety interactions and encourage my peers to be involved also. I have been trained in quality control and process improvement and time management as well as many other aspects of being a team leader.
Mining Experience - Description
I started at Donaldson Coal in 2010 in the Cleanskins Program which ran approximately 6 months. We completed set classroom and practical tasks before going into a production panel and working alongside experienced miners until we were deemed competent. I worked at Donaldson Coal approximately 6 years in both pillar extraction and development panels as well as the bullgang which was maintenance based. This includes beltmoves and cable work as well as water pumping and the setup of pump stations. I also have extensive secondary support experience using airtracks as well as handheld bolters.
