As a Legal Assistant, I support both a Senior Solicitor who specialises in complex Personal Injury Matters, and a Junior Solicitor in managing approximately 70 Personal Injury Law matters. These matters include Motor Vehicle Accidents, Public Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Medical Negligence, and Total and Permanent Disablement Claims. Some of my key responsibilities include:

  • Efficiently managing and organising matters to ensure all matters are up-to-date and key deadlines are adhered to.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, and addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Taking new client inquiries by documenting important information, providing the information to the relevant Solicitor, and arranging an appointment.
  • Maintaining organised paper and digital files.
  • Drafting legal documents such as discovery requests and Subpoenas, and ensuring timely electronic filing with the Courts and other relevant bodies.
  • Drafting client correspondence, and letters of instruction to medico-legal specialists.

  • Collating and distributing agendas and minutes for every Criminology Student Association meeting.
  • Maintaining effective and organised records.
  • Liaising directly with Monash Clubs and Societies for membership queries, and for the general administration of the association.
  • Having a thorough understanding of the association's Constitution to guarantee compliance with all legal obligations.
  • Responded to emails and other correspondence from members of the association and Monash Clubs and Societies in a timely manner.

As the President of the Criminology Student Association, I was responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the Association. This encompassed the following responsibilities:
