Dear mine manager,

I am writing to express my interest in an underground position at your site.

My name is Alexis Ryan, I’m a 22 year old Indigenous woman from Cairns, QLD. I complete my secondary education at Mossman State High school in 2021 where I was recognised through roles including Student Council President, Indigenous Leader, and House Captain.

I began my mining career in Feb 2024 at Capricorn Copper Mine, Gunpowder, QLD before I was transferred to Invincible Gold mine, WA where I have dedicated the last 2 years of FIFO.

I am currently on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Cairns to Kambalda East, Western Australia since May 2024 as a Grader Operator and currently training on service crew. Although I don’t hold a service crew ticket, I’m willing to continue advancing my skills in this area.
