I am an outgoing and friendly hospitality worker with excellent communication skills, great experience processing payments, handling food and meeting customer demands with a diligent and well-organized manner. I am organized and always reliable to turn up to every shift with a great work ethic and willingness to make a contribution to the team. I have been able to recently take on a manager role appointed by my boss while he was away. This showed his trust and confidence in me and my willingness to take on added responsibilities. As a student, I strive to always put forward my best work while having an open mind to always learning something new.
In this position, I undertake many different roles and tasks which include working at the register, taking customer orders, handling money and preparing food/coffee. I pride myself on providing friendly customer service while effectively dealing and remaining calm during rush periods. I both open and close the store independently, train staff, share a duty manager role, complete stock ordering and reconcile the till. I have gained skills such as communication with co-workers and customers, multitasking, a good work ethic and time management.
I run training sessions and coach teams during netball games for students in years 7-10. This has provided me with the opportunity to work with children, where I was able to develop skills to care for and instruct players to perform to their best ability. I had to be organised with drills and team positions every week, with the added responsibility of the duty of care of the students.
My objective is to gain clinical occupational therapy experience through working as an OTA at your clinic. I would love to further develop my skills as an student occupational therapist and gain valuable insight into what the role of an occupational therapist really is while assisting your team in any way that I am needed.
I have attained / completed the following: National Police Check Certificate, all required vaccinations up to date, covid vaccinated (3 doses), QLD paid blue card and my CPR/AED & First Aid Certificate.
My leadership abilities range from assisting in taking care of café, training staff and school leadership positions where I was the sport council leader. I was also awarded sportswoman of the year at my high school in year 12, along with academic, service and cultural excellence.
