Integrated Project: Making a 3D Printer That Extrudes Silicone

For my final year project while studying at Temasek Polytechnic, my team and I, which consisted of three people, were tasked with continuing after a previous group's attempt at a 3D printer that could extrude silicone, thereby making silicone prototypes and designs. This project was monitored and presented to a group of representatives from ST Engineering. The previous group had already made the hardware of the 3D printer, but did not manage to accurately finish the firmware, and the software for the 3D printer My group had to code the firmware due to some issues with the previous firmware, and we adjusted the software to achieve our desired outcome. By the end, we were able to complete the project even after weeks of setbacks, due to stepping out of our comfort zones and learning how to code the firmware and software of the 3D printer. We roughly understood the hardware due to some issues that arose.
