I am a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker and Personal Care Assistant with a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability and Aged Care) . In my current role, I assist clients with daily personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while providing mobility support to ensure safe use of wheelchairs, walkers, and other aids. I manage medication administration and ensure timely medication management, plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, and perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe living environment. Additionally, I provide transportation to medical appointments and social activities, offer companionship and emotional support, assist with physical therapy exercises, and maintain accurate records of client progress. I advocate for clients' rights, ensuring they have access to necessary services, and encourage participation in social and community activities to promote inclusion and improve quality of life.
