Industrial Painter/Blaster DIDO 4/1 Roster

M2P /MARTIN & CO Scaffolding/industrial Coating
  • Industrial surface preparation's and coating applications. Working across various sites.
  • Work consisted of abrasive sand blasting on structural steel and piping- mining equipment and machinery
  • Paint applications performed by airless spray pumps and conventional spray pot systems.
  • Setting up of hoppers and airless pumps also carried out.
  • Encapsulation works regularly performed.
  • Regularly operated EWP, crane and forklift operations.

Goodline
  • Underwent Asbestos and Lead training for surface preparation and coating applications
  • Full encapsulation was required, and strict safety precautions were adhered to due to lead and asbestos present on site
  • Abrasive blasting used for surface preparation on steel structure
  • Paint coatings were performed by airless and conventional spray.

  • Working on 1.2-kilometre jetty with operations platforms, a product loading platform with a single LNG and condensate load out berth and associated piping modules and piping installation as part of the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG project
  • I was employed as a Industrial Painter/Blaster with my works consisting of abrasive blast cleaning for surface preparations with a 2.5 blast by way of site specifications, also using Hand held Air assisted tools, Orbital’s, Bristle blasting (NBX) , Buffers, Needle guns on Field welds , pipping , structure , base plates , hand rails
  • Paint coatings were also performed by airless spraying and conventional spraying by way of application to the dry film thickness to Bechtel specifications, brush and roller works we also performed as well as Encapsulations
  • Also had the opportunity to work offshore on IB 419 Jack up Barge which I preformed surface prep and paint applications.

  • Surface Prep by way of abrasive blast cleaning and spray works by application
  • (Conventional pot & airless units) setting up blast hopper components for surface cleaning (mighty mite) also set up on airless spray units alongside with conventional spray pots for smaller works – encapsulation works also used for working areas on the site
  • Group take 5 were also part of our works – JSA – Permits to Work – Prestart Check Forms – MSDS
  • Setting up barricades, drop zones, tagging off work areas were also performed.

Painter/Blaster 3/1 FIFO

CAPE
  • Western Downs Qld
  • Surface Preparations, Abrasive Blast cleaning and paint coating applications to surface profiling measures & dry film thickness site specifications
  • Understanding and knowledge with site permit regulations, JSA (Job Safety analysis) SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements) forms along with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for high-risk construction works
  • I also had the opportunity to utilise my skills in EWP (Elevated Work Platform) & forklift tickets
  • Usage of an airless and conventional spray unit systems for field welds, pipelines, structural steel, beams, gas flare lines, handrails, from paints ranging from Intergard 251 primer, zinc 52-zinc 22 powder form, high build epoxy Intertherm 228, Interthane 990 etc
  • Usage of a, DFT (Dry Film Thickness) Gauges, spring micrometre blast profile tape tester.
