Amanda Hargreaves

• The Kilbreda Chorale consists of 50 students from Year 7-12
• As the assistant conductor, I work with head of music, Kara-Lee Rabbetts to prepare students for various masses and concerts throughout the academic year
• Emphasis is placed on correct vowel placement to create blend, aural/harmony skills and various choral techniques such as stagger breathing
• I have conducted students at several school masses and events

In this role, I work with high school aged students (12-18) on three main areas:

• Developing healthy and reliable vocal technique
• Developing performance skill
• Introducing wider range of music styles to students
• Received 100% satisfaction rate from students, in music teacher survey
• Lessons are tailored to each individual student, their interests and skills
• I am currently guiding a number of students through VCE Music
• One student was recently nominated for a Music Theatre of Victoria Guild award for "Best Actress in A Leading Role" ( "Shrek the Musical", Kilbreda College and St Bedes College)

• In this role, I work with intermediate and senior students (aged 12-21) focusing on musical theatre repertoire
• Students learn various vocal and performance techniques, as well as harmony and ensemble singing work

• In this role, I work with primary school aged students (6-12) placing emphasis on building confidence, focus and self-esteem whilst also developing musicianship skills and technique

• In this role, I worked with students of all ages and genders, from preschool students to adults in their sixties
• I worked individually with all students, placing emphasis on building their vocal technique, performance skill and self-confidence
• My students were featured in the weekly “House of Voice” newsletter for their achievements and many selected to sing in their highly competitive end of year concert
