Accomplishments

  • - As part of my BA I completed a dissertation titled “A Families Experience of Autism”.
  • - During my employment with the Health Service Executive I developed and implemented an Offence Analysis Programme to adolescents within a Foster family unit and also developing risk management plans to assist parents in caring for a young person in their care.
  • - Development and Delivery of a Mental Health Training Programme for frontline staff during my employment with YAP Ireland.
  • - Undertook training with the Investing In Children award and successfully became an assessor for the Investing in Children membership organisation.
  • - The successful establishment and management of a Consultation and Participation group whereby a group of young people and parents were supported to meet with local government representatives to highlight services that they felt were required within their community and address social policy issues of concern to them.
  • - During my employment with YAP Ireland I was responsible for the establishment of a Disability and Mental Health Support Programme for young people and families in the Region who required an intensive and flexible community based support.
