I studied 4 years at Latrobe University majoring in Zoology. This course allowed me to gain much needed volunteer work in various animal shelters, equestrian centers and at Healesville Sanctuary, which allowed me to adapt and build on my animal husbandry skills. I also volunteered in an endangered species management program in Costa Rica and a Botany and Marine Biology study in Cairns and Far North Queensland. My long basketball career as a player and coach has allowed me to develop great social skills working with other athletes, children and parents in junior and senior programs. Basketball has provided me with sound leadership skills, resilience and an understanding of being part of a team and a greater goal. I have captained several of these teams from Youth League to Senior's. I have been involved in 4 senior women's championships with the Dandenong Rangers including three in a row from 2010-2012. I have delivered many basketball clinics over the last 20 years and have a comprehensive understanding of what is needed to create a successful a positive environment.
