  • Developed processes and procedures supported by Excel automation that enabled detailed reporting of the Technology projects profile where previously only summary reporting was available
  • Delivered unprecedented project spend reporting, prioritisation and potential risk that has enabled the business to focus their efforts where needed
  • Developed Intangible amortisation forecasting model based on current year approved capital expenditure; hence eliminating the overstated amortisation expense forecast and resulting monthly variance to forecast caused by the previous method of using original allocated capital budget
  • Created audit compliant Intangible work in progress capitalisation to Fixed asset register documents that were also used by relevant financial controllers to review and approve capitalisation
  • Constructed, fine tuned and streamlined the first Intangible Amortisation P&L left Hand Notes (LHN) for Qantas Airways, Freight & Corporate segments; this in contrast with PPE depreciation still not having equivalent analysis due to the task being deemed "impossible"
  • Instigated Intangible work in progress asset account reconciliation for the ~$150m of assets at the time where one did not exist and was an outstanding audit compliance note. Reconciling items in excess of $10m were cleared and the reconciliation process became operational and handed back to clerical level staff in 3 months
  • Lead the significant and challenging task of clearing the Intangible work in progress balances to Fixed Assets register; including reporting to Technology head of and business partners , compliance oversight and stakeholder management

  • Reviewed the accounting and time line of the 41 Aircraft operating variables journal entries that were posted between WD+1 to WD+3 with low accuracy due to short time frame. Accrual estimate models were created with 95% accuracy rate & < $0.2m variances; enabling ~30 of the 41 journals to be posted week 2 to 3 of the month
  • Analysed and identified potential cost saving areas that were presented and highlighted to the business to be acted upon with complete end to end financial analysis and modelling support
  • Monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly deliverables completed timely to the highest quality standard and with seamless stakeholder engagement and management
