Extracurricular Activities

Peer Networker, As a peer networker both during the time of my secondary education and my time at UTS it was my role to ensure that any new student has a successful integration into the new lifestyle. This included taking them on campus tours and making them aware of the services available to them. UTS HELPS Buddy Program, During the last 2 years of university education I have taken part in the UTS buddy program where I am assigned 2 international students to meet up with on a weekly basis in order to assist the development of their communication skills or in certain situations provide them with information about the Australian way of life and activities that they can't take part in whilst living in Australia. UTS Accomplish, UTS accomplish is a program provided by The UTS careers service. This program provides workshops aimed to develop the skills required for the recruitment process. In addition to completing 8 workshops, I was required to complete 100 hours of employment practice with the completion of this program leading to the attainment of an ‘Accomplish Award’, signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor.
