I Host snorkel tours at the Tangalooma Wrecks - Moreton Island. Throughout my time with River to Bay, I have worked my way up to being Head-Deckhand, Social Media Manager and administration.

My role is to:

  • Manage the company emails, phone calls and social media.
  • Require knowledge of safety drills if incase of an emergency.
  • Assist in operations, such as berthing the boats (acquiring knowledge of rope work).
  • Perform safety briefing to guests once boarding the boat.
  • Perform maintenance on the ships.
  • Tending to guests; ensuring that they are comfortable, whilst serving food and drinks.

As a snorkel guide, in order to effectively accomplish a safe tour; my responsibilities are to:

  • Inspect tour sites for potential hazards and perform environmental risk assessments.
  • Organise and distribute snorkel equipment to guests.
  • Conduct Snorkel plans.
  • Supervise Snorkel group.
  • Conduct emergency procedures.

A Little Bit About Myself

I have always lived and loved the Ocean, Therefore; my long term career pathway goal is to work and study within the vicinity of the Ocean and Marine life, I have always wanted to pursue the job of a Marine Biologist, but in the mean time, I am hoping to complete my Coxswain Certificate to become a Skipper of Maritime tourism vessels. In my spare time, I love snorkelling local reefs with my camera in hand and creating content for my social media.
