I Host snorkel tours at the Tangalooma Wrecks - Moreton Island. Throughout my time with River to Bay, I have worked my way up to being Head-Deckhand, Social Media Manager and administration.

My role is to:

• Manage the company emails, phone calls and social media.
• Require knowledge of safety drills if incase of an emergency.
• Assist in operations, such as berthing the boats (acquiring knowledge of rope work).
• Perform safety briefing to guests once boarding the boat.
• Perform maintenance on the ships.
• Tending to guests; ensuring that they are comfortable, whilst serving food and drinks.

As a snorkel guide, in order to effectively accomplish a safe tour; my responsibilities are to:

• Inspect tour sites for potential hazards and perform environmental risk assessments.
• Organise and distribute snorkel equipment to guests.
• Conduct Snorkel plans.
• Supervise Snorkel group.
• Conduct emergency procedures.
• Perform First Aid.
• Knowledge of Aquatic rescue drills

I have developed an extensive knowledge of local history and culture of Moreton Bay, enabling a profound understanding of the area and insightful commentary during tours.

My role has taught me how to effectively make safety decisions in high risk situations when responsible for individuals in the water.

My role was to tend to customers and ensure their needs and wants were satisfied, by effectively building rapport with the customers and serving an 'above and beyond' helping hand. My role included of:

• Processing transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems, minimizing wait times for customers at checkout.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers.
• Handling returns and exchanges professionally, resolving customer issues while adhering to company policies.

My role was to serve customers at the POS, as-well as waitress, and Barista. I was gifted the role of junior manager, where I trained new staff and dealt with customer difficulties. This role consisted of:

• Preparing food and beverages and verifying adherence of quality and safe food-handling standards.
• Managing reservations accurately, ensuring seamless guest experiences upon arrival.
• Monitoring staff performance and provided feedback and guidance.
• Handling guest complaints professionally, resolving issues quickly to promote positive experiences.
• Training new staff.
